Tue Mar 31, 2026 Unfortunately, a new feature: moderated comments

First things first: I know, I know, it has been awfully quiet on this website for more than two years now. But I promise: I haven’t given up on it and will (hopefully) be able to devote more time to it again soon!

Unfortunately, the first thing I had to take care of after such a long time was a feature that I didn’t even want to implement: Moderated comments.
That means: When somebody posts a comment here in the blog or in the articles of the website, this comment is saved but will remain invisible initially. Only when (and if) I approve it manually, it’ll become visible to all visitors to the website.

The reasons for this are the all-too-familiar and much-maligned trolls and any further words about them would be to give them too much credit.

How it works: When you post a comment, I’ll receive an email notification, and then I decide whether to approve the comment. And I will approve it, provided it is a genuine comment on the topic of the article. This also applies to negative reviews – I promise! I just can’t promise that this will always happen quickly. Because, surprisingly, I’m not sitting at my computer 24/7, and it has happened that I’ve forgotten something I really wanted to do. 😉

Mind that you will receive no notification when your comment is approved! I was just being lazy and wanted to save myself the extra work involved in this process. 🦥 But maybe I’ll still do it. Someday.
